Easter is perhaps one of the most highly anticipated times of the year. It is the time when Christians celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and it is also the time when we see people flock to churches that have never walked into one. So, with all this celebration going on, why would anyone want to ban it?

Just take a look at this one primary school that has canceled its annual festivities in the name of “respect for diversity.”
According to the Christian Post, the Norwood Primary School in Eastleigh, Hampshire in the United Kingdom decided not to hold their annual Easter Bonnet Parade and service in order to show “respect for diversity.”
In a letter to parents, the school’s leader, Stephanie Mander, wrote that “By not holding specific religious celebrations, we aim to create a more inclusive atmosphere that honors and respects the beliefs of all children and their families.”
Mander further noted that those who normally look forward to the celebrations may be let down, but that the school thanks all for understanding this change.
This decision is yet another example of how cancel culture continues to encroach upon the public expression of faith. Under the guise of inclusivity, institutions increasingly erase Christian traditions, fostering an environment where the very values that shaped Western society are dismissed. This reveals a deeper issue: diversity is now often used as a tool to silence faith rather than embrace it.
As Christians, we must not be disheartened but rather emboldened. The gospel cannot be canceled. No school policy, government regulation or cultural trend can diminish the power of the cross. Let us continue to press in with prayer for revival in schools, communities, and nations, knowing that the light of Christ will always shine brighter than the darkness of cancel culture.
