Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Adams encourages readers with spiritual truths and personal anecdotes, challenging them to take hold of the same contagious joy she discovered during a painful divorce and other experiences.
“As a Christian, I want more than ever to show others the power of God’s love,” she writes. “You don’t do that by badgering people; you do it by being a good example.”
Much of Adams’ message is drawn from the Points of Power segment of her widely syndicated radio program The Yolanda Adams Morning Show. The freshman author discusses nearly 40 points that compel readers to overcome hardships, sadness, disappointment and other joy killers.
“As I studied God’s Word, I began to gather different points that helped me understand how I could live my life based on God’s power and grace,” Adams writes. “I often reflected on words like faith, love and forgiveness.”
Adams is gearing up for a national book tour and preparing for the release of another CD. But today her focus is to inspire readers with the tried-and-true message of God’s love.
“Use your faith and prayer to connect with the Holy Spirit and, no matter what, you will overcome. Cry when you have to, but laugh more than you cry!” she writes.
