Sometimes life seems to have you spiraling down a hole instead of you moving up a mountain. Most would say they would rather climb up a mountain than spiral down a hole. Some would say going down a hole seems dark and scary, while a mountain seems airier. It may be difficult, yet more freeing.
When God made Adam, He created Him out of dust. He also promised after Adam’s fall that when he died, dust is where Adam would return (Gen. 3). This is why we have burials after someone dies.
I would like to think, when God allows us to spiral, we are actually coming close to the end of what was not meant to be a part of our lives in the first place. Are you spiraling out of control with drugs, alcohol or pornography? Or maybe you’re not spending enough time with family, your spouse or children because of work? People love climbing a mountain, even though the climb can be rough. When you are climbing a mountain, you are moving upward, and mountains have a lot of rough patches. You may even find it a struggle getting up it. I am sure mountains are not easy to climb.
I think of Moses when he was instructed by God to climb the mountain so he could receive instructions and The 10 Commandments from God. Climbing upward can be a gain; at the same time, moving upward will strip away pride, insecurity and doubt.
Once you go through the process of the climb, you will never be the same again. Both positions in life have there advantages. When you are experiencing either one. Look to God to be your anchor. He will either be your life support or your anchor. Either way, He will never leave you not forsake you. He has the answer and the power to see you through. {eoa}
