Do you need to hear from God? I absolutely understand. From science to national leadership, there is a deficit in knowing what to do to manage the current challenges we are facing across the globe.
God has the answers and antidote for healing our world. He created it and knows the end from the beginning and thereby is the only one who can truly bring total healing and wholeness to our world.
As a country, after 9/11, we respected God’s authority. This was demonstrated when the president addressed the country and asked for prayer. People flooded the churches for prayer and the media asked for prayer. But this time, there is no cry for prayer from the White House to the media.
For some, it may seem that God is absent or silent, unconcerned about what is going on in our world. We face the closures of churches, people dying in mass numbers, and businesses, both secular and faith-based, shut down, leaving people in dilemma for resources. Most importantly there is a lack of the corporate presence of God in the church setting.
We must remember that a word from God is already present. The most awesome thing Jesus did was to birth a church that lives on the inside of the believer, one that is united through relationship with God and in fellowship with the body of Christ. Since His coming, we are no longer confined to the office of the priest as the only way for getting in touch with God or hearing from God. We can cry out to Him from our hearts in prayer, individually and as a corporate body. God is listening. The real question is, are we praying, crying out in complete faith in Him as the answer to our woes?
As we research the Word, we see a pattern of intervention by God in our world, often after people cried out for His help and intervention. The very act of prayer and crying out to God for help is a demonstration of faith in God. He responds to faith!
According to 2 Chronicles 7:14, our prayers changes things. In this Scripture, God tells us what to do. We don’t have to question the process for how to heal our broken land. His people possess the power to change their world.
As God’s prophetess, I must say that the word God has given me is that an intense and unified prayer of the church is the answer. Unified, authentic prayer of God’s people is needed and God, in response, will heal the land. In this, He will reveal the true church, its power and function. He will thereby situate her as He did Joseph before Pharaoh.
The trumpet of the true prophetic calls the church to the spiritual intervention action of prayer, thereby unifying us across racial and economic barriers. If we wail our hearts out before the sovereign God, He who has a reputation of hearing His people will answer our prayer. This is an act of humility of the church and the people of the land: submission to the true God and His church, which is the bride of Christ, born of God’s Spirit through Jesus Christ as one with God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Ghost.
The word from God to His people is unity in the Spirit. The very force of unified prayer from the authentic church will provoke God to respond to His bride and grant her request. But she must be holy, adorned and sold out to penetrate the forces of evil in the earth and pull down answered prayer. This means God’s people and the corporate church must come together as one in the Spirit, crying out to God for healing of our land. He is the answer through us. It is our hour of power, wake up!
