Bible prophecies are being fulfilled every day. Birth pangs are intensifying. Dramatic world events, natural disasters, the rise of secular humanism, severe economic challenges, lawlessness and so much more are all pointing to the soon return of Jesus, the Messiah. It’s definitely a wake-up call to the church to fulfill our mandate to preach the gospel and occupy until He comes.
One of the most amazing prophetic signs of the coming of Christ are the many new archeological discoveries. These point to God’s end of days timeline. Jesus said, as recorded in Luke 19:40a, “the stones would immediately cry out.” Modern day archeologists in Israel are witnesses to the fulfillment of that Scripture, as they uncover ruins, stones and artifacts that point to the truth of the Bible.
Our friends at the City of David have been instrumental in many of these discoveries. They have unearthed the incredible Pilgrim’s Road that leads from the Pool of Siloam to the temple steps, the half shekel temple coin, the area of the money changers, a pomegranate bell from the high priest’s garment and perhaps, most amazing of all, is what very well may be the original location of the Tabernacle of David: a symbol of Jews and Gentiles worshipping together.
What an exciting time we are living in! The rocks are indeed crying out! So are the prophetic signs and events that continue to materialize worldwide.
