Johannesburg, South Africa, is famous for its thunderstorms. If you have ever gotten caught in a downpour, dodging golf ball sized hailstones on your way home from school, you know what a run for life really means!
My story takes place in the middle of such a storm. I was heavily pregnant with my first child and waiting for my husband, Craig, to come home.
A bolt of lightning struck our electric generator, and what I heard was a bomb blast followed by pitch black as our electricity went out. I won’t lie … I thought I was going to give birth on the couch!
I phoned Craig in a panic, and my knight in shining armor rushed home to save me from the dark and settle my nerves. Just having him there with me made everything better. We enjoyed a candlelit dinner and life was perfect again. Just like that, the storm turned to my favor.
If you are a prophet going through your process, you might feel heavily pregnant with your spiritual baby. You are being tossed here and there by storms in your relationships and circumstances. It is difficult in that moment not to panic.
You wonder if you are pleasing to the Lord. You struggle against the pressures of your process. The last thing you need in your life is another storm, set to push you to your limits.
I completely understand and want to offer you a solution to bring back the sunshine. It’s simple: You need to find the eye of the storm! There is an easier way than just pushing through until exhaustion takes over.
There is a better way than cowering in fear, waiting for the storm to pass. No, the hand of God is on you, and when you discover the simple solution to finding your peace in the storm, you won’t allow anything to shake you again!
3 Key Points to Keep in Mind
1. The storm is your call to birth your spiritual baby.
Don’t be in such a rush to get rid of the storm. It is, in fact, a call to birth the prophetic baby you are carrying. You have gone through a beautiful process of being shaped into the prophet God has called you to be. Don’t stop now! Just one more push, and you will see that next level of authority and anointing!
2. Learn to fly above the storm to make the most out of it!
Navigating the storm is the secret! Find the eye of the storm, and while your circumstances rage around you, discover just how strong you have become. You never know what God put in you until you navigate the storm! You are more equipped to handle these pressures than you realize!
3. Receive a new level of prophetic revelation!
I will tell you what Craig and I told Jane Gatfield, from England, in our Next Gen Prophets podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network:
“Jesus is the Prince of peace. When revelation stems from peace instead of the storm, then it is pure and powerful.”
So, when your circumstances are flying at you at a rate of knots, recognize the call to birth! In the thundering of that storm, you will discover the lover of your soul. It is here that He will reveal Himself to you and remind you that you are called, chosen and soon appointed.
Psalms 18:13-14 (NKJV) says, “The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered His voice, hailstones and coals of fire. He sent out His arrows and scattered the foe, lightnings in abundance, and He vanquished them.” {eoa}
