In today’s fast-paced world filled with excessive amounts of consumption in all areas of life, one revolution has taken off in an unexpected way: the desire for a slower, quieter life among young conservative women.

For years, women were told that they could do everything a man could, that feminism would save their lives, and ultimately, that there was no purpose in marriage. However, conservative commentator Brett Cooper recently shared with Mikhaila Peterson why she has gone after a quieter pace of life, all the while still keeping her dreams alive.

Despite her early success in the entertainment industry, Cooper expressed a deep dissatisfaction with the superficiality and relentless pace that often characterize modern life. She also explained how marriage has been one of the best things for her growth as a person as well.

“On both sides of the political aisle I was told getting married is like the worst thing you could do for your career,” Cooper shares. “But I found somebody who makes me better every day, and I think it’s the most important thing. I’ve never felt more ambitious, I’ve never felt braver than when I’m with him. It’s like he takes all the parts of me that need strengthening and just amplifies them.”

Cooper’s perspective resonates with a broader movement among young women who are increasingly disillusioned with the pressures of social media and the fast-paced culture it perpetuates. Instead of chasing the latest trends or curating perfect online personas, many are seeking deeper connections, meaningful community, and a life that reflects their core values. Moving onto a farm, for Cooper, has been a breath of fresh air after working such a quick lifestyle.

“Comments Section was completely revolving around social media and trends and news. It was so fast-paced and it’s just like chaos,” says Cooper. “It was so freeing to be able to drive home on a literal dirt road and come back to someplace that is so quiet, like so normal, so detached from everything.”
