From the days of the apostles, Babylon has been a prophetic symbol of rebellion against God. Peter himself referred to Rome as “Babylon,” a city that became a center of persecution for the early church. In Revelation 17, Babylon is described as a harlot sitting on many waters—an image of a corrupt world system opposing the kingdom of God. Today, the spirit of Babylon persists in the rising tide of anti-Christian sentiment worldwide.
Christ’s Return and the Rise of Global Technology
Jesus declared in Matthew 24:30 that His return would be witnessed by the entire world. For centuries, this seemed impossible. Yet, with today’s satellites, instant media and digital surveillance, a global event of this magnitude could now be seen by all nations. Likewise, Revelation describes two witnesses whose deaths will be observed by the whole earth—an occurrence now technologically feasible for the first time in history.
The One-World System and the Mark of the Beast
The apostle John foresaw a time when no one could buy or sell without the mark of the beast. With digital currency, biometric tracking and centralized financial systems, we are witnessing the infrastructure of the Antichrist’s global control being put into place.
The Spirit of Antichrist in a Post-Christian World
Cahn warns that the most dangerous societies are not pagan ones but those that once knew God and turned away. The West, once a bastion of Christianity, now leads in moral corruption, pushing an agenda that mirrors biblical warnings of the last days. Just as Antiochus Epiphanes defiled the Temple, a future Antichrist will rise to deceive the nations.
The prophetic implication for America, as Cahn elaborates, is profound. As the nation moves further from its Christian roots, this sets the stage for a world order that will welcome the Antichrist—an individual who will present himself as a global savior, much like past false messiahs in history. Cahn also draws attention to the fact that such a culture of rebellion is not merely a spiritual issue but also a societal one that affects every aspect of life, from politics to family structure.
Prophecy Unfolding Before Our Eyes
From the push to rebuild the Jewish Temple to the deception of false messiahs, the signs of the end are converging. For the remnant of believers, these are not days of fear but of preparation. The kingdom of God is near, and the Messiah is coming soon. No longer can we stay quiet and still about what we see happening in the world around us; we must stand tall, share the gospel unashamedly and grow closer in our relationship with the Lord.
