Pastor Greg Locke gave an impassioned, uplifting Facebook Live update Friday night, Apr. 25, following a briefing in the White House Faith Office earlier that day. Locke described the gathering as a “blessed time of info and fellowship with some of the greatest faith leaders in America and around the world.”
While his Tennessee church hosted a women’s conference back home, Locke made it clear he was astonished by what he witnessed at the highest levels of American government.
“One thing I’m blown away by is how much Jesus is mentioned, worshipped, talked about, sung to, preached about, prophesied about, all over the grounds of the White House, really all over Washington D.C. right now.”
He noted that President Trump was leaving for Rome for Pope Francis’s funeral, and highlighted the administration’s powerful spiritual leadership: “People can be as critical as they want to about the Trump administration, but the man is keeping his promises, he is surrounding himself with men and women of rock solid faith.”
Locke framed the moment plainly: “Do you realize we have the answer to our prayer right now? God has given us the most spiritual administration, the most Jesus-driven, Bible-driven administration in the history of America!”
He pointed to examples of top-level staff freely and enthusiastically speaking about their faith: “People who are in high security positions, people who lead counterterrorism and intelligence teams, talking about Jesus, talking about soul winning, talking about the power in the baptism of the Holy Spirit—it was unbelievable!”
Locke expressed amazement but also concern at the backlash he sees coming from unexpected places. “I’m shocked and amazed at #1, how much Jesus has been invited into the White House in this administration, but also #2 how many Christians are critical about it. Not the atheists, not the haters… the church world is upside-down because a woman is leading the Faith Office?” Locke asked incredulously, and rightly calls out the negative voices who need to get over themselves, reminding his Facebook audience, “Like the apostle Paul said, I don’t care how Jesus is preached as long as Jesus is preached.”
Locke declared that “God has come back to the White House in big ways,” stressing “we’re talking about Jesus Christ of Nazareth!” He calls it “unbelievable to see what the Lord is doing” and urged Christians to rally together: “Let’s take this as our supernatural moment to step up, lock arms, lock shields, unite and say, ‘Enough with the disharmony, enough with the disunity, enough with this denominational man-made nonsensical baggage, let’s come together for the betterment of this nation and for the building of God’s kingdom.'”
Locke warned that believers must stay vigilant: “We have the greatest opportunity for soul winning, for evangelism, for discipleship, for church growth, for worldwide global missions than we’ve ever had in our lifetimes! Don’t spit on that, don’t trample on that.”
He closed with a fiery call: “The revival is not coming, the revival is here, don’t miss it. Know this, God is very much alive, He’s not going to be impeached, He’s not going to resign, the devil is not going to kick Him off the throne, Jesus is alive, He is King of kings and Lord of lords, He’s doing a work in the United States and because of that He’s doing a work around the world.”
Locke ends with a challenge: “I don’t want to miss it, and I hope you will get on the frontlines with me.”
