In a recent video, Bible teacher John Barnett warned believers that the world is rapidly moving toward a prophetic tipping point.
From global surveillance and digital finance to rising religious deception, Barnett says these are not random developments—they’re part of a biblical roadmap foretold in Revelation.
The Coming Global Control Grid
“We are coming into a time, no matter how much you resist it… there’s going to be a final global money system and tracking system,” Barnett said. He explained that no matter what people do to avoid technology, the system is already being built and can’t be stopped.

“You can turn off all the tracking on your phone. You can opt out of everything. You can get an old-fashioned analog phone. Doesn’t matter,” he said. “The world is careening toward a global tracking and monetary system.”

He pointed to current headlines as signs of what’s coming: “Facial recognition will replace keys, passports, and tickets within five years,” he read aloud. “You will not be able to get into your car or house. You’re not going to be able to come and go from your country.”
Digital Money Is Already Failing
Barnett then recalled a recent scare that hit one of America’s biggest banks: “Bank of America customers were shocked by zero balances in their online account glitch. Bank of America says widespread outage is nearly fixed.
“Do you know what happened on October 2nd?” he continued. “Millions of people went to transfer money… and they glanced and their account balance was zero.”
He emphasized how digital currency leaves people powerless: “When you have digital money, you have no money in your hands… someone can turn a switch and you have zero money, zero buying power.”
Biometric Payments and Biblical Warnings
While shopping at Whole Foods, Barnett said he was stunned by how seamless new biometric technology had become. “They just waved the palm of their hand over the little scanner… Amazon recognized their palm print.”
He then connected the convenience to Revelation. “Amazon wants your palm… reminds me of on your right hand,” he said. “Every time you do [use the technology], remember where it’s headed.”
The Rise of a False Religion
Barnett also sounded the alarm about growing religious unity that abandons biblical truth. “Pope Francis continues to prove he is the most influential and dangerous false prophet in the world,” he declared.
Quoting from Francis’ statement in Singapore, Barnett said, “All religions are a path to God… we are all children of God.” He called the remarks “horrible horrible heretical blasphemous.”
He referenced his friend Mike Gendron’s commentary, saying, “The wolf in sheep’s clothing is seeking to unite all the religious people of the world in a global religion that will worship the antichrist.”
A Confused and Deceived World
Barnett pointed to the moral decline in society as yet another warning: “Spain is set to give to the great apes human rights. There is so much confusion. There’s so much error. There’s so much deception. Just like Jesus said.”
