In an eye-opening interview, researcher Gary Wayne laid out some alarming truths about secret societies, the book of Enoch and the dark spiritual paths many are unknowingly treading.
“Their goal is to bring in the end time and to wipe humankind from the face of the earth so that we don’t reach our destiny to be raised up to be like angels,” Wayne warned at the outset.
Freemasonry, often misunderstood by the public, is anything but harmless. Wayne said, “When you look at a Freemasonry organization, it has adepts at the top… everybody else below is just sort of camouflage and they don’t know the true secrets.” These hidden teachings are far removed from biblical truth, seeking instead to enthrone man and fallen angels above God.

Turning to the much-discussed book of Enoch, Wayne pointed out that “the book of First Enoch is actually made up of five different books” and none predate “the 3rd century B.C.” He emphasized that these writings promote mystical ideas deeply rooted in rebellion against God. “Knowledge is neither good nor evil. It’s how it’s used. But [the book of] Enoch developed this knowledge and religion to lead people away from God was priority number one.”
Wayne also exposed the deception behind mystical groups like the Essenes, who many assume were righteous. “They say that the true religion was the religion of Egypt that Moses brought with him,” he said, noting how this belief system twists biblical history and leads to dangerous heresies.
The warning is clear about how secret societies and mystical texts like Enoch may promise hidden wisdom but ultimately lead down a dark, destructive road. “Everything about them is polytheistic,” Wayne stated, underscoring that these paths glorify false gods and ancient rebellion rather than the one true God of Scripture.
Even the popularization of terms like “the Golden Age” ties back to dangerous pre-flood eras when “gods walked amongst us, giants walked amongst us,” Wayne said. This longing for a return to such an age stands in stark contrast to God’s plan of redemption through Christ.
Wayne concluded with a sobering reminder: “If we’re going to deceive the whole world and the elect, if that were possible—and it will be because Bible says it is—it’s going to happen.”

The Bible warns believers to stay away from the hidden works of darkness. As Wayne’s research shows, flirting with mystical knowledge, secret societies and unbiblical writings doesn’t lead to enlightenment — it leads to spiritual destruction.
