After issues arose between Newsboys and their Canadian promoter, Faith Live, the band’s Canada tour was canceled. Now, Faith Live has announced that Sanctus Real is to replace Newsboys in what is called the “Being Faithful Tour.”

Faith Live made the announcement of the change on Facebook, writing:
We know the recent changes around the Newsboys tour have been difficult. After prayerful consideration, we chose obedience over comfort and stepped away from that partnership—trusting God to lead the way.
We’re honored to announce Sanctus Real will now be joining the tour. This isn’t just a replacement—it’s a calling. Their heart for worship, honesty, and ministry is exactly what this moment needs.
Faith Live also promised that ticket holders will be given a $500 for a hotel savings card, tickets used as a future credit and complete refunds for those in Saskatoon and Toronto.
Thank you for walking this journey with us. We believe God is at work—and the best is yet to come.
This decision comes just days after Faith Live said that they were canceling the Newsboys tour after the “‘lack of interest’ and mounting questions came as a direct result of Michael Tait’s unexpected departure, which we were not informed of in advance.” They also noted that the “handling of the transition lacked clarity and transparency, leaving both our team and the public in a difficult position.”
On their Facebook page, Sanctus Real made the announcement of their new Canadian tour.

In a season where we’ve witnessed God do the unexpected, this is no exception! We’re praying God would move during these concerts and people who’ve never even heard of a band like Sanctus Real would be compelled to come and sing songs with us that are meant to bring the HOPE of JESUS to a world that is in desperate need of it.
