Televangelist Jimmy Swaggart, aged 90, remains in critical condition following a sudden cardiac arrest yesterday, Father’s Day, at his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Found unresponsive near 8 a.m., Swaggart received CPR from family members until EMTs could arrive and transport him to a local hospital for treatment.
Swaggart’s son, Donnie, addressed a special evening prayer service at Family Worship Center, delivering a somber update: “Without a miracle, his time will be short.” He emphasized that doctors have done their part, but now the family “will give the Lord an opportunity to work.” Medical teams continue to closely monitor the elder Swaggart’s vital signs.
