In a compelling and wide-ranging discussion with Kap Chatfield on the Directed Life podcast, prophetic voice Amanda Grace opened up about the spiritual dynamics shaping current events—from the rise of artificial intelligence and UFO phenomena to the legacy of political leaders like Barack Obama.
Drawing from Scripture, history and prophetic insight, Grace emphasized how misunderstood the prophetic can be, particularly when it’s confused with the occult.

“Psychics, mediums and individuals involved in that world are actually prophets gone rogue,” Grace explained. She drew a clear line between true prophecy—anchored in God’s voice—and divination, which taps into familiar spirits: demonic entities that mimic knowledge through generational familiarity. “The words may be right,” she warned, quoting Kim Clement, “but the breath is wrong.”

Using pop culture as a metaphor, Grace likened the supernatural realm to the “Star Wars” concept of “the Force”—good and evil tapping into the same power but from different sources. True prophets seek the instruction of the Lord, while the occult accesses information for manipulation, often through demonic deception.
This deception, she said, infiltrates modern systems. Grace pointed to examples of “disaster capitalism,” referencing how riots in 2020 saw suspicious stacks of bricks conveniently placed at protest sites. She likened it to the biblical story of Naboth’s vineyard, where Jezebel orchestrated false accusations to devalue and steal land. “The enemy breaks people down,” she said. “Then offers power in exchange for servitude.”

The conversation pivoted into technological warfare and spiritual influence, where Grace made bold claims about the origin of AI. She noted that biblically, Joshua battled a city named Ai, and historically, the Assyrian gods Asher and Ishtar form the acronym AI. “These are ancient spirits repackaged,” she warned, asserting that demonic entities are behind much of modern technology—including weaponry and governmental systems.
Grace referenced declassified government programs like Project Stargate, in which the U.S. government employed psychics and remote viewers to gather intelligence—at times allegedly summoning demonic entities for information. “Certain gates were opened in America,” she said, connecting the timeline of those programs to major moral shifts, such as the legalization of abortion.
When asked about President Obama, Grace called him a “Saul”—the king the people asked for, echoing 1 Samuel. “The people were crying out for a king, and God gave them what they asked for,” she said. She believes Obama’s presidency marked a turning point in American morality and was prophesied even in symbols like the 2015 Kentucky Derby, where a horse named “American Pharaoh” won the Triple Crown.
