A powerful 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck near the eastern coast of Russia, prompting widespread tsunami alerts across several Pacific nations, including Japan, Guam, Hawaii and Alaska. Japan alone evacuated approximately 2 million people in response to the threat. However, prophetic warnings of these shakings came long before these events ever took place.
Amanda Grace of Ark of Grace Ministries responded to the event in a recent broadcast, pointing to several prophetic words she previously shared that she believes correlate with the seismic activity and the broader geopolitical climate in the region.

“Be prepared, My children, for the unexpected, for the shaking after Passover, for the shaking in the area of Russia,” Grace reads from a word she received on Mar. 30, 2024. The message also mentioned Vietnam rising up amid regional tensions, alongside references to Thailand and Cambodia. Grace noted, “Vietnam is rising up in the middle of that—highly outspoken against the tensions going on there.”
She also referenced a word from Apr. 4, 2025: “Japan high alert, says the Lord. Pray for Japan, says the Lord. Shaking and flood.”
As Japan continues to recover from the evacuation and tsunami threat, Grace underscored the spiritual significance of these events: “These are precursors to what is coming.”
/**/In a word dated May 29, 2025, she quoted a prophetic warning directed at Russian President Vladimir Putin: “That trophy you keep of such, O Putin, shall be stripped from your grip, and you shall with force be thrown back… I shall shake the very ground upon which you live, O Putin.”

While many view these statements as prophetic insight, Grace emphasized vigilance: “We’re watching what is happening in this area of the world right now. These are the precursors, I believe, to greater [events]… Russia, Japan—those areas are something to keep watch on now in the midst of this.”
She concluded with a word of encouragement to her viewers: “Be in the Word of God every single day. Keep the faith.”
