God’s truth can be mocked, ridiculed, ignored, disbelieved, despised or rejected—but it cannot be destroyed. In Hope for This Present Crisis, Dr. Michael Youssef writes, “His truth stands firm even if the world around us collapses into ruin. His truth stands firm even if no human heart believes it. We are free to say no to God’s truth, but we cannot bend His truth to our will. God’s truth is immovable, unchangeable and indestructible.”

In his new book, Youssef confirms for his readers that they are living in a day in which the truth of the gospel has been replaced by a false spirituality that embraces all faiths as equally valid. “This post-Christian, post-truth world tells us we should ‘connect’ with other belief systems by embracing them,” Youssef tells his readers. “The Bible calls this idolatry. Yes, Jesus calls us to love all people, including people of other faiths.
“But Jesus warns us against polluting the pure truth of the Christian faith with the falsehoods of other religions,” Youssef writes. “Jesus declared Himself to be the way, the truth, the life and the only way to God the Father. ‘Connecting’ with false religions by worshiping God’s creation (‘Mother Earth’) is explicitly forbidden in God’s Word.”
In regard to God’s truth, Youssef’s solution is clear in Hope for This Present Crisis. He explains that Christians need to “stand firm on the truth of the gospel. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life—no one comes to the Father except through Him. We must never be ashamed of sharing the gospel with others. We must never pollute the pure Christian gospel with false teachings from other religions. We reject the temptation to water down the gospel to win friendship with this dying world.”
