Grammy-winner LeToya Luckett (formerly of Destiny’s Child) takes the lead role in this film about a prodigal daughter. Angie King (Luckett) has been raised in the church, but not as just regular attendee. Her father is the bishop. Angie dreams of musical stardom, but her stern yet loving father has other ideas for what she should do with her life.
Angie goes against her father’s wishes and joins a traveling gospel show. Soon, she is left heartbroken by the realties of the road and romance. She realizes that the happiness she sought was already available to her at home. But will her father accept her back with open arms?
This film is rated PG-13 for thematic material, some sexual content, violence and brief language.
