In an exclusive interview with Charisma Media founder and CEO, Stephen Strang, Daystar president and co-founder Joni Lamb discusses her life and the trials she’s faced throughout.
Lamb has dealt with recent media storms and controversy, including the closing of the Colleyville Police investigation which was centered around abuse allegations involving a child from the Lamb family.
In Daystar’s official statement, it was noted how: “The original police report filed several years ago alleged that an unidentified classmate of the child committed the alleged abuse. In November 2024, media reports surfaced, falsely accusing another Lamb family member—identified as “Pete” in the reporting—of committing the alleged abuse.”
The statement also said that the ministry “…fully cooperated with law enforcement’s investigation,” and “In addition, ‘Pete’ denied any wrongdoing, and he voluntarily agreed to be interviewed by the Colleyville Police Department. ‘Pete’ also voluntarily sat for and passed two separate lie detector tests performed by two independent, highly experienced experts. No evidence has ever existed implicating ‘Pete’ in any crime, and no charges are being brought against ‘Pete.'”
As these situations have been so public, Lamb expressed to Strang what it has been like to go through these battles.

“Storms are horrible when you’re in the middle of them, but I think the one thing the Lord has assured me me of is that not only will He be faithful, but you know, truth always prevails,” Lamb says.
Lamb notes that God has given her assurance that He will be her defender.
“He’s just assured me that He is better at defending me than I am,” she says. “And so, I can say at present, I’m trusting Him to allow truth and light to shine, and for Him to defend me.”
Lamb says she finds it hard to believe how much darkness has attached itself to the current situations, but that she knows “God is a just God,” and that it is necessary for her to “keep my heart right.”
In order to protect her heart, Lamb says she has not listened to the negative commentary and instead is trusting God to be there for her during this entire journey.
“Honestly, I don’t listen to that,” Lamb says. “I haven’t watched one podcast. I haven’t watched one YouTube that would have lies or half-truths. I know for me, I’ve just got to do what the Bible says, and that is pray for those that use you, to love your enemies and to just turn them over to the Lord and trust God.”
Lamb says she also believes the Lord will prove to be faithful to her in the middle of the storms happening in her family. While she doesn’t know the timing for restoration, Lamb is lifting her family up to the Lord at this time.
“At this juncture, we can’t see what’s going to happen, but I have faith and trust in God that He’s going to be faithful because God can see time, past, present and future, simultaneously. But He’s told me to keep my eyes on Him and follow His lead,” she continues.
“I’m staying focused on the assignment that God has given me, and I’m trusting Him with my family that I love, and I’m trusting Him to shine the light of truth.”

Lamb says she and her husband pray daily for the situation and those involved.
“Every night my husband and I will pray, and I’ll pray for those individuals that I know are being used by the enemy, but Daystar belongs to God.”
Continue to pray for all those who have been affected by this situation.
