We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded, and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so horribly killed. The nation continues to stand in utter shock as we witnessed live the assassination attempt on the former president.
The FBI released the shooter’s identity as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. He shot at the former president from around 130 yards away on a roof. Crooks was a registered Republican but gave a $15 donation to Progressive Turnout Project, which is about “key Democratic constituencies: young people, minorities, and low-income people.”
Explosives have now been discovered inside of Crooks’ vehicle that was parked near the rally.
