I sat down with Elizabeth Johnston, also known as “Activist Mommy,” to talk about our nation’s culture wars. Johnston, a social media sensation, is a cultural warrior. Her videos encouraging believers to shout the truth of God’s Word as it relates to current issues from the rooftops have gone viral.
On this podcast, Johnston describes the “suddenly” of how her ministry began.
“I was a happy homeschool mom of 10 children and wasn’t looking for a ministry. But one day, I was prompted to shoot a video on the topic of transgender bathrooms. I sat in my car, duct-taped my cell phone to the rear-view mirror and pressed ‘record.’ In the video, I asked Christians, ‘Do you really want a man using the same restroom as your teenage daughter?’ I posted this video on YouTube, never dreaming what would happen.
“God took the video around the country, and it went viral,” Johnston continues. “I knew from that moment God wanted me to keep addressing issues that affect our culture.” Christian activism is now her calling, and she implores other Christians to take action as well.
“Our religious liberties are under attack. Gender identity and fluidity is not only accepted but encouraged. Same-sex marriage is embraced by some churches. Deviant sexual practices are taught in schools. Hundreds of thousands of babies are aborted annually. No more!” Johnston cries.
Johnston courageously defends the timeless truths of God’s Word and encourages other Christians to do the same. Our children, morals, freedom and nation are at stake!
