If you have been a leader for any length of time, you have definitely experienced some form of loss—and your fair share of pain along with it. The unfortunate truth is that loss and leadership go together, and we simply cannot escape it.
Since we cannot escape it, we might as well embrace it. We cannot taste the “better” side of leadership if we don’t accept the “bitter” side.
As supernatural leaders, we are called to grow through what feels hard, challenging, overwhelming and contradictory. Dealing with loss within our leadership can be one of the hardest things to manage, as it sometimes has a way of changing us into a lesser version of ourselves.
Four main attacks usually occur when dealing with loss as a leader: loss of identity, loss of confidence, loss of momentum and loss of vision. So how do we move through it? How do we get better and not bitter?
