“We are so honored that Brother Swaggart is being recognized this year,” read a statement from Jimmy Swaggart Ministries on social media. “Singing News is hosting a TV Special featuring the Class of 2025 Southern Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame inductees! Tune in Monday, June 30th, 7 PM ET, for a night of celebration as we honor Brother Swaggart, along with others whose legacy has helped shape the world of Southern Gospel music.”
This televised tribute comes ahead of the official Hall of Fame induction ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. That event will formally welcome the 2025 class into the SGMA Hall of Fame, but Monday’s concert will offer fans an early opportunity to rejoice and reflect on the faithful impact these voices have had in the world of gospel music.
