Since the passing of John MacArthur on July 14, the Christian community has poured out plenty of remarks on his decades of ministry. Now, Grace Community Church has released the details of the upcoming memorial service to honor the late minister.
“John’s memorial service will be held at Grace Community Church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23,” the Grace to You ministry wrote on their website.

/**/They also acknowledge that “John is now enjoying the glorious reality of heaven, but for those of us whose faith is not yet sight, his biblical teaching helps us turn our minds to things above and lay hold of the biblical hope of heaven.”
During this past Sunday’s church service, staff pastor Chris Hamilton of Grace Community Church also made a statement on MacArthur’s passing.
On a video posted to X by Protestia, Hamilton said, “Hearts are heavy this morning as we reflect on the passing of John MacArthur, our pastor, mentor, friend and shepherd. After a brief battle with pneumonia, John was ushered into the presence of Our Lord…”

He continued, “Pastor John’s final admonition to his family as they gathered around him was the same charge he received from his own father in similar circumstances: stay faithful.”
