These are discouraging times unless we have a heavenly perspective. We need encouragement because, in the words of the late man of God Charles Simpson, “Encouragement is to the soul what oxygen is to the body.”

The Bible tells us, “But encourage one another daily as long as it is called ‘Today,’ so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness” (Heb. 3:13, NIV). Notice it says “daily,” not weekly or monthly.
To inspire and strengthen us to “run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus” (Heb. 12:1b-21). Take 10 to celebrate five recent examples of God’s continual work in our day so you are built up in the spirit for your day!
