A stunning ultrasound photo is capturing hearts and stirring faith after Amanda Foster, 33, of Kentucky, shared what she believes is a visible answer to her prayers—a divine sign from God above.
At 32 weeks pregnant, Foster went in for a routine scan following earlier concerns about her baby boy’s heart. A defect near the aorta had been identified earlier, raising the risk of serious complications. But Foster didn’t waver in her trust. “I have asked the Lord repeatedly to please keep His hand on my baby before every appointment,” she said.

During the scan, what appeared to be a large hand was seen resting over the baby’s head. Foster’s daughter Bailey was the first to notice it.
The image quickly spread online, being called “amazing” and “a miracle.” While some speculated it was a distorted image of the baby’s own hand, Amanda and her husband, Kyle, believe otherwise.
“We prayed and prayed along with several others. When we followed up with a specialist, it was gone,” Foster wrote on Facebook. “Thinking about [the ultrasound] more and more brought me to tears and filled me with gratitude for all God has and continues to do for me.”
Foster’s journey has not been easy. At 17, she lost her first baby to Potter’s syndrome. The grief nearly shattered her faith.
“I never doubted that God wasn’t real, I just didn’t want anything to do with Him because of what He had done to me,” she said. But after years of pain, she gave her life to Jesus in 2021. Her life changed—and her family grew. She now has two healthy daughters, a thriving toddler son, and another boy on the way.

This ultrasound moment is a tender reminder of God’s love for children and the power of prayer. Psalm 127:3 declares, “Look, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”
Every child is a masterpiece—loved by the Father, formed with purpose and worthy of protection. Foster’s story is a shining testament that even before birth, God’s hand is at work.
