Comparing the Word of God to a good soldier in that it will not return void (or without fulfilling its assignment), Pastors LaJun and Valora Cole remind us that God will fulfill His Word. He is faithful, and we are called to share His goodness with others. Even in the hard times, we are called to praise Him for the good things He has given us.
“This is the time and the season where every prophetic promise that God has given to you, you’re going to walk in it, you’re going to access it, amen,” Valora says on the “Prophetic Moments” podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network. “You’re going to even share it with other people. You’re going to share your testimony, and you’re going to share the goodness of God, and out of it, God is going to get much glory. You’re going to let people know that He’s the same God. He’s the same God in times past; He’s the same God today; and He forever will be God …
“And so God will sometimes allow us to go through certain things. And sometimes it may seem hard, it may seem difficult, but what you will be able to say is that ‘This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.'”
Don’t let a long period of waiting discourage you. You will reap a harvest in God’s timing, LaJun says. His timing is not always our timing, but if we don’t stop trusting in Him and walking with Him faithfully, we can be confident that He will fulfill His promises.
“I grew up on a farm in Arkansas, and we raised soybeans. And what I learned is that the same season that you plant a seed is not the same season that you reap the seed, and you reap the harvest. So the seed is planted in one season; the harvest comes in another one. And what we’ve got to do is hold on; we’ve got to believe God, we’ve got to trust God; we’ve got to know that God is faithful, because in due season, we will reap everything that we’ve actually sown.”
