A recent decision by the Presbyterian Church USA showcases just how far apostasy has crept into the modern church, and how urgent it is for the remnant to remain grounded in truth.

As reported by The Christian Post, the PCUSA has passed Amendment 24-C, which requires all ordination candidates to be questioned about their views on sexual orientation and gender identity. This decision has been met with sharp concern by many believers who hold to the authority of Scripture. The amendment passed with approval from 86 presbyteries—two more than the minimum required.
Supporters of the move, like the Rev. Brian Ellison of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, claim the change is meant to foster “deeper reflection, honest conversation, and authentic discernment.” Ellison added, “I’m genuinely excited to see the ways these more comprehensive examinations will benefit LGBTQIA+ people, as well as those from other marginalized groups.”
But many see it differently.
More than 150 PCUSA clergy signed an open letter ahead of the 226th General Assembly warning that this amendment could “undermine the theological diversity of PCUSA.” The letter plainly states, “This amendment would immediately disqualify and exclude many faithful and dedicated Ruling Elders, Teaching Elders and Deacons from serving due to their convictions.”
Let that sink in. This is not merely about policy. It’s about disqualifying biblical convictions.
It’s clear that the church is being sifted. The Word of God tells us that in the last days, there will be a falling away. This is not a distant prophecy, it is unfolding now. When institutions that once upheld Scripture begin to reject its authority in favor of cultural affirmation, we must recognize that deception is already running rampant, just as the Bible warned.

Repentance is not optional. This is a call to reject compromise, return to the unchanging Word and stand firmly in the Spirit of truth, regardless of cost.
The end times are already pressing in. And the only way to endure is to stand on the solid rock of Christ and His Word because apostasy is here.
