Amid rumors of declining health, John MacArthur says that he is recovering well and is “ready to come roaring back to ministry.”
In a video posted to X, MacArthur gave an update about his current condition despite discussions that he was on the verge of death.

“I feel fine,” MacArthur says. “I’m not ill at all. My heart is working well. My lungs are working well.”
He further notes that there is “nothing terminal” happening to him right now.
“In fact, my heart is probably stronger now than it has been in the last decade of my life,” he says.
MacArthur says he is currently receiving quality care, and that after his lung and heart procedures, he had no choice but to stay in the hospital for seven weeks. However, he now is ready to head back onto the ministry scene.

The world doesn’t require a guy like John MacCarthur to teach us how to be kind to ourselves & others.There are probably billions of other choices on how to be Christ like rather than following what JM has to say or preach. Donate your money to a women’s shelter,go work @ a soup kitchen,volunteer anywhere to help others because we are supposed to feel good when we help others be happy. I don’t see how sitting in a bldg n sun valley looking @ a guy like JM standing behind a pulpit is a step towards attaining the goal to help others .It’s brainwashing you to give all your money & time to him so you can feel good about yourself & be close to GOD. JM
Is a unnessary middleman that costs too much & in the long run only makes you feel bad about yourself & others forcing you to believe JOHN is the only relationship you require to be OKAY in life & if you think about it that is rediculous & John is getting away w/treating everyone Like they are stupid & easily persuaded & I believe they are if they have anything to do w/a guy like John or that church Grace Community.who wants to hang out in Sun Valley anyways.That in of it self proves how desperate people are for something to DO in life.
Laura Lee: I am not entirely sure how to respond to your message that seems to be so loaded up with anger toward John. If you really did a deep dive into his ministry you would find that non of your accusations are true. He isn’t about growing a ministry or taking money out of the hands of any other God focused group. You can narrow every ministry that is worth supporting into an area of emphasis and thinking…. What do they do with the Scripture and who do they say Jesus Christ is. If the Scripture isn’t held up as the singular Word of God without any error and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only way to salvation, they aren’t true ministers of the Gospel. John upholds and fights for both of these.
