“They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will never be ashamed” (Ps. 34:5, NASB 1995).
David says, “They looked.” But who looked, and who are “they”? The answer is God’s children, His saints, those who have been set apart to Him and have been chosen by Him out of the world to be His.
“They [you and I] looked to Him and were radiant.”

But we must continue to fight the battles as they occur, because as long as we are in this world the powers of darkness will work against us. In fact, Jesus talked about overcoming seven times in the book of Revelation, Chapters 2 and 3.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God” (Rev. 2:7).
“He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne” (Rev. 3:21).
We must be overcomers. This is a necessary progression that matures us into Father God’s sons and daughters. It requires action, determination and a focus on our Father! As we keep our eyes on Him, we will become more and more radiant.
