President Donald Trump is doubling down on his commitment to protect religious freedom with the launch of his new Religious Liberty Commission.
At a ceremony on the National Day of Prayer, May 1, Trump signed an executive order creating the RLC and is now rolling out key appointments to help lead it forward.

Among those named to the RLC’s religious advisory board are Pastor Jack Graham of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Texas and Pastor Jentezen Franklin of Free Chapel in Georgia.
“Congratulations to Senior Pastor Jack Graham on being named to the advisory board of the Religious Liberty Commission by President Trump,” Prestonwood announced. “His bold voice for truth and unwavering commitment to the Gospel continue to shine as a light in our nation.”

The commission’s mission is to “vigorously enforce the historic and robust protections for religious liberty enshrined in Federal law.”
Advisory board members will help shape a comprehensive report on America’s religious foundations, current threats to religious liberty and strategies to preserve it for future generations.
The group also includes Franklin Graham, Dr. Phil McGraw, Eric Metaxas and Paula White.

The commission’s term runs through July 4, 2026, and aims to increase awareness and celebration of religious freedom across the United States.
As Prestonwood said, “May [Graham’s] leadership help strengthen the church and defend the freedom to live out our faith with conviction and courage.”
