Millions of Christians are unconsciously pursuing the American dream and the Western model of what family looks like and, it is leaving them stifled, burnt out, constantly busy and disconnected from Jesus and our true callings.
The Lord is opening the eyes of many to the true and biblical view of what family is and was meant to be from the beginning from God Himself.
The lifestyle of consumerism to create long lasting happiness along with the ideal of hustle culture and the thought that we are the most valuable when we are the busiest isn’t what God intended for us in the least. God doesn’t want husbands and wives fighting for significance against each other as the entire family model revolves around the father and what he is doing while everyone else is simply along for the ride.
God always desired a family, He expressed that in the Garden of Eden, all throughout the Old Testament Scriptures, in the Gospels through the life of Jesus, the book of Acts and more. God wants us to slow down, smell the roses, do life with Him, in Him and through Him.
