“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Rev. 12:11).
Whenever the world goes through a tragedy or traumatic event like we are experiencing right now with COVID-19, the initial reaction of the media is to focus on a wide variety of horror stories and how awful and frightening everything is. Later, though, stories begin to spring up of miraculous events, and we can see moments of light and love through the darkness. God doesn’t take a timeout when tragedy hits, but instead He dives even deeper into protecting and caring for His children. The question isn’t if God is still doing amazing things for His children during this time—it’s simply, how long will it take for us to hear about it? Well, I’d rather make it sooner than later.
We are living in a truly unprecedented time in history, where not just one region or country is going through upheaval, but literally every nation on the earth is experiencing the same thing. For the most part, no one can leave their homes, we can’t see our friends or loved ones, the economy is standing on a dangerous precipice, and fear and uncertainty rules the day. The enemy is on the warpath, sowing fear and nervousness all across the planet. But there is good news, especially for those who love and serve Jesus Christ.
We don’t just have to sit here and take it. We can fight back.
God made clear how to conquer the enemy in Revelation 12:11: by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.
To that end, I want to put a call out to every believer to record a testimony of God’s faithfulness in your life—not just during this pandemic (though those would be awesome), but at any point in your life when you needed Him to come through in a time of crisis and He did exactly what He promised. I will then take these testimonies of God’s faithfulness and put them online for the entire world to see. When you are feeling frightened or you simply need a reminder of who truly sits on the throne, you will be able to see the testimonies of your fellow brothers and sisters, and those testimonies along with your faith in the blood of the Lamb will conquer whatever the enemy is trying to bring against you.
If you would like to participate in this call, there are directions below. Try to keep it as short as you can—we don’t need all the details, but simply the gist of your circumstance and what God did to prove His faithfulness. It could be a healing, financial miracle, relationships restored, literally anything where you leaned into God in a time of need and He proved faithful. Big or small, I want them all.
