In a recent prophetic message, Mike Thompson shared a powerful word he received from the Lord: “Tell the believers that I have given them a way of escape concerning temptations and trials. It is not an escape from having to endure them. It is an escape from the snare of the devil that is placed within them.”
This word offers fresh encouragement for believers facing spiritual battles.
Thompson emphasized that enduring trials is part of living in a fallen world, but that God always provides a way to avoid the enemy’s traps hidden within those trials.
“We have a way of escape from the snare of the devil that is within those things,” he declared. “Jesus is with you in it. He is the exit sign. He is the door of escape through Jesus.”

Thompson grounded the message in Scripture, referencing 1 Corinthians 10:13: “No temptation has taken you except what is common to man…with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
To empower believers, Thompson unveiled three prophetic principles designed to help them walk in victory and avoid the enemy’s snare.
1. Develop a Close Relationship with the Holy Spirit
“Develop that intimacy with Him,” Thompson urged. “If you’re afraid of intimacy with God or with the Holy Spirit, then there’s something wrong.” He explained that the Holy Spirit is “the voice of God on the inside,” who is providing strategies, insight and divine communication. This relationship equips believers with discernment and strength during spiritual warfare.
2. Meditate on God’s Word
Reading the Bible is essential, but Thompson emphasized that meditating on Scripture is where transformation begins. “When you meditate, the Holy Spirit then takes His ability to form those images, paint it on your heart and in your imagination,” he said.
This prophetic visualization aligns believers with God’s plans and fuels inner confidence.
3. Develop a Prophetic Prayer Life
Thompson described prophetic prayer as seeing every single situation and circumstance from a heavenly point of view instead of from an earthly standpoint. He encouraged believers to allow the Holy Spirit to “lift them up in the spirit” to see from above, operate in third-heaven authority and walk in the supernatural. “You were created for that,” he affirmed.

Thompson concluded with a passionate prayer, releasing these prophetic truths over viewers’ lives and encouraging them to draw near to Jesus, the true way of escape.
For those ready to walk in supernatural victory, Thompson’s word is clear: develop intimacy with the Holy Spirit, meditate deeply on God’s Word and pray from heaven’s vantage point. When believers take this authoritative stand, they will experience freedom from Satan’s strongholds and walk in the fullness of what God has for them.
