“I think music does something to your soul,” says Osteen. “Right now, I think people are wanting to be uplifted, good news…I think there’s really enough bad news, and this uplifting music is drawing the young; it’s drawing us all.”

“It’s a way to express yourself when you don’t always have the words,” she continues. “You can sing these songs, [and] express your gratitude to God.”

Osteen’s daughter helps lead praise and worship at Lakewood Church, and her song also writes music. She says that it is through power of music that she saw her children transformed by God.

“That’s how my kids really got involved. They got involved in Lakewood music, and that’s kind of where they grew up,” says Osteen.

She also noted that while there is beauty in older worship music, there is something unique about what we are seeing today.

The rise of Christian music on national charts is more than a trend—it’s a sign of a spiritual hunger sweeping across generations. As hearts turn toward hope, healing and truth, music is becoming the bridge that connects people to God in a deeply personal way. What we’re witnessing is not just a musical movement, but a revival in the making—one led by a generation longing for more than what the world has to offer.

As this sound of worship continues to rise, it’s clear that God is using the power of music to awaken faith, restore souls and ignite a fresh passion for His presence.
