CBN News recently aired a chilling conversation with Nigerian journalist Masara Kim, whose firsthand reports from the field paint a harrowing picture of what he plainly calls “a genocide” against Christians in Nigeria.

Kim, a reporter for Truth Nigeria, told host Gary Lane, “It is entirely a religious cleansing targeted at Christian communities.”

The persecution has escalated dramatically in recent weeks.

“From Sunday the 25th, we have had ongoing relentless attacks against Christian communities approximately 55 miles south of Jos,” Kim said. These attacks follow a deeply entrenched pattern of violence—one that has killed over 200 Christians since April alone.

On Palm Sunday, while Christians were worshipping and shouting “hallelujah,” Kim reported that “there were thunderous gunshots all over the community and more than 55 people were massacred at an instant.” He added, “Children and women formed the vast majority of the victims.”

In one room, Kim personally witnessed the slaughter of eight children between the ages of 3 and 8.

The massacre continued in Musher, where terrorists shouting “Allahu Akbar” launched a series of coordinated attacks, beginning with the murder of a pastor in his own home. His wife was left for dead.

The next day, as villagers held a funeral for the slain, Kim said, “The terrorists returned… residents and witnesses described the force as more than 500.” As mourners fled for their lives, the bodies were left unburied until nightfall.

Kim said it plainly: “The Nigerian authorities… seem to either be complicit or just turning a blind eye,” and the West, particularly under the Biden administration, “have bought into these lies… describing these attacks as mere clashes.” But he rejects that narrative entirely. “What is going on is a clearcut calculated agenda to eliminate Christians in Africa’s most populous nation and impose an Islamic caliphate.”

Kim’s documentation is harrowing: more than 150 communities have already been taken, turned into “no-go zones” for Christians and “staging grounds for more terror attacks.” Civilians are left to defend themselves with homemade pipe guns and hunting rifles—woefully inadequate against militant forces.

This is not just a story of suffering—it’s a plea for prayer. “I say this confidently because I have been covering this violence for the past 15 years,” Kim said. “And I have seen communities, Christian communities, uprooted and replaced.”

Let us not turn a blind eye. Let us not ignore the blood crying out from the ground. Pray for the church in Nigeria. Pray for protection and revival. And may the global Church rise to its calling: “Remember those who are in chains, as if imprisoned with them, and those who are ill treated, since you are also in the body” (Heb. 13:3).
