Brandon Snipe never expected a TV series to change his life. A former worship pastor, he admits he was skeptical at first. “Every Christian show we ever watch, it’s just horrible. It’s so boring,” he said. But when he received a recommendation to watch “The Chosen,” Snipe gave it a chance—and by the third episode, he was hooked.
That moment sparked what would become “The Chosen Sleuth,” a YouTube channel devoted to dissecting the biblical drama frame-by-frame. “We knew that if we doubled down, this was something that felt really good for us… something we were really passionate about, that we really cared about,” Snipe told Charisma Media in an exclusive interview.

As the channel grew, so did the opportunities. “Dallas picked up on it and was watching our videos. Within a few weeks into season two… he hopped on our livestream.” That unexpected event led to a lasting connection with “The Chosen” creator, with Jenkins asking Snipe his opinions on the episodes after they would premiere.
“He’d be like, ‘Hey, what did you think about this?’ And I’d be like, ‘Yeah, it was great—except for this, this, and this.’”
Though the success is evident, Snipe’s heart remains focused. “I don’t measure success on how much we’re making… For me, the measure of success is when I get that one message where it’s like, ‘Because of your video, I improved my relationship with God.’”
