Has the White House become a place of prayer and worship?

Dr. Malachi O’Brien re-posted the video on X where Locke asked the true question of our current time: shouldn’t we be rejoicing that the White House is back as a place of prayer?

“Why can’t we rejoice that the White House is becoming a prayer house?” asks Locke. “This man’s bringing some of the most well-known preachers on the planet into the White House. And people are mad because they’re not leading it.”

Locke points out that the issue most people actually have with Paula White being the leader of the Faith Office comes down to jealousy. Instead of focusing on who is leading this office, Locke sees the ongoing revival hitting our nation’s capitol, and points out that we should desire to be part of it.

“He didn’t start a theological office, but he surrounded himself with some theologians,” Locke says of the president. “…we got what we prayed for, we got more than we prayed for, we got more than we asked for, we got more than we fasted for…we’re watching revival in the White House.”

At a time when division and cynicism run rampant, Locke’s words call the church to a higher perspective—one of gratitude, hope and participation. Now is the moment for Christians to set aside jealousy, pride and preconceived notions, and instead celebrate the fact that faith is being openly embraced and prioritized at the highest levels of government.

If revival is truly stirring in the heart of our nation’s leadership, then it is not a moment to scorn, but a movement to support. As Locke declares, God has given us more than we asked for; now it is up to believers to steward this opportunity with humility, prayer and unity.
