As the devastating floods in Texas have taken the lives of more than 80 people and counting, one of the most heartbreaking parts of this tragedy are the lives of children that were lost while at summer camp.

Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp, has so far seen at least 27 lives claimed in this horrific event. After friends and other campers were swept up in this horrific event, a group of girls leaving the camp decided to give Jesus all the honor and praise singing hymns as they left the scene.
“Here are some survivors from Camp Mystic. It’s OK to cry. It’s a traumatizing experience. Lives were lost,” one commentator wrote on X. “Their singing and praising God has brought tears to my eyes. Brave, brave girls.”

The flash flooding on the Guadalupe River in Central Texas has now taken the lives of at least 80+ people including many children.
