A Prophetic Message Concerning the 2024 Elections

What is the Spirit saying to the church concerning the 2024 elections? Based on the wisdom of the Word, based on practical experience and based on what I sense in my own heart, I would submit the following for your prayerful consideration.

1. Don’t look to the prophets! I absolutely believe in prophetic ministry, both in biblical time and today. I believe there are prophetic voices through whom the Spirit speaks, right to this moment, and we do well to listen carefully when they speak, testing everything carefully by the Word of God.

But the last thing we need to do now is look to “the prophets” for election guidance. (I put the words in scare quotes because not everyone who calls himself or herself a prophet really is one.)

Greg Laurie: Noah Should Be the Model for Believers in These Last Days

What Will Work Look Like for Believers in Heaven?

Christian author and theologian John Piper believes Christians will work in heaven, but argued it will look profoundly different than it does in this current world.

Working, he said on a recent “Ask Pastor John” segment, will be “profoundly satisfying and sweet and enjoyable,” even adding no one will ask for a weekend break in heaven.

“I think we will work in the final age to come,” he continued. “Whether we will do what we were gifted for here, or whether we will have wholly new giftings, a thousand times greater, or what kind of work John Piper will be doing, I leave in the hands of God, who planned the universe for the happiness of His people in Himself. We will not be disappointed.” {eoa}
