Students shouting, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” seem to think Hamas is some sort of democratic national liberation movement.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Hamas was founded in 1987 as an Islamist political organization designed to drive Jews and other non-Islamists out of Palestine and then expand its rule over the Middle East. The Hamas charter specifically calls for the murder of all Jews. In 2015, its leader Khaled Mashal said, “There is no peace. Only the path of Jihad, sacrifice, and blood.”
Hamas came to power in Gaza through a rigged election and proceeded to eliminate its Palestinian political opposition through murder and intimidation. The people of Gaza live in a police state like those in the West Bank, Iran and now Afghanistan. International aid to the long-suffering population is funneled to Hamas to support its military and build extensive underground fortifications. These fortifications are built under hospitals, schools and other civilian areas because Hamas knows Israel will try to avoid civilian casualties. As a bonus, when the civilians they hide behind unavoidably do get killed, Hamas and its supporters plead for a ceasefire to allow the terrorists to regroup and rearm.

The amazing thing about these student demonstrations is their complete ignorance of the anti-democratic, bigoted, misogynistic organization they support. Compare Hamas to Israel:
— Jews and Arabs living in Israel have full civil rights, while no one living in Gaza does.
— The Israel government is democratically elected, while Hamas rules through terror.
— Israel has tried for years to live in peace with Gaza, but Hamas wants only war.
— Women have full rights in Israel, while Hamas restricts all aspects of their lives.
— The progressive agenda of toleration of gays and trans people is allowed in Israel, but they are subject to imprisonment or death under Hamas. Instead of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, or DEI, the Hamas agenda is “DIE.”
— Israel tries to avoid killing civilians, while Hamas glorifies in the murder of civilians, especially women and children.
It turns out that the only free people between the river and the sea live in Israel.
Pray that the university leaders will have courage to protect their Jewish students, and stand up to the antisemitic mobs and paid agitators working for Hamas and its allies.
Let us also pray that our students will wake up and quit being stooges for the Islamist terrorist agenda of Hamas.
