Pray for Jim Garlow and his family after the passing of his daughter, Janie McGarity.

On May 15, 2025, Garlow’s Well Versed World posted the heartbreaking news of McGarity’s death after battling cancer.

“My daughter Janie (1977–2025) went into the arms of Jesus this morning,” Garlow wrote online.

McGarity was the wife of Skyline Church pastor, Jeremy McGarity, and a mother of three sons. A week ago, an announcement went out to the Skyline Church family providing an update of Janie’s condition.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers, encouragement, and love for Janie and for our family. Your support has been a deep source of strength for us during this challenging season.

We want to share an important update. Over the past several weeks, it has become clear that Janie’s condition has progressed. Her symptoms have indicated the need for more intensive and immediate care. After much prayer, research, and wise counsel, we have made the decision for Janie to be admitted to a residential, world-renowned alternative cancer treatment center.

There, Janie will be under the care of leading doctors who specialize in integrative and alternative cancer therapies—treatments designed to strengthen the body’s natural defenses while aggressively fighting the cancer through both natural and medical approaches. We are hopeful and confident that this next step is the right course of action in her journey toward complete healing.

On Facebook, Jeremy McGarity shared the news of his wife’s passing.

Today, my heart is broken—but heaven is rejoicing.

After a courageous battle with cancer, my beloved wife has gone home to be with her first love, the Lord Jesus Christ. She faced every trial with unwavering faith, never compromising her principles, and always inspiring those around her with her strength, grace, and love.

She loved her family deeply, and we will forever cherish the memories we shared. Though we grieve her absence, we rejoice in her victory. She is now free from pain, fully alive in the presence of Jesus, receiving the reward for a life well-lived.

She was welcomed by the Lord Jesus today with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Until we meet again my love.
