James O’Keefe is known as a provocateur and the founder of Project Veritas, an organization that works to expose corruption—from the killing of innocent children to voting corruption to human trafficking and everything in between—using whistleblowers who expose the corruption in their interviews and expose the details through the use of hidden cameras.
The activist began by working to expose the horror of abortion by Planned Parenthood, along with Lila Rose, and shutting down ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known for rigging elections. He also worked with Andrew Breitbart, who gave him a column to help him get started.
Most recently, O’Keefe exposed the reality of the coronavirus vaccine and the way in which so many have been harmed, using the confessions and secretly recorded testimony of those working in the companies producing the shots to devastating results.
He also first exposed CNN with secret recordings in which staffers told of the planned bias in the network, shamelessly explaining how they were working to undermine President Trump and conservatives in great detail, leading to the first major exposure of the previously only surmised bias.
What is not well known, though, is how O’Keefe’s faith has served as the basis and foundation of his passion for the truth.
His recent book, American Muckraker: Rethinking Journalism, tells the story of his experiences, and commenting on it, he challenges fellow believers, “What are you willing to give up to fight for what is right? Are you willing to give up your comfortable life?” His words echo those of Christ in Matthew 16:24, “If anyone will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
Steve Strang, bestselling author of God and Cancel Culture, writes in God, Trump and the 2020 Election, “God has raised up this nation, going back to our founding fathers, to be a beacon of light and hope for the world.” Reflecting the daily facing of cancel culture, ranging from cancellation of his Twitter account and other social media to harassment by the FBI, who raided his apartment, O’Keefe asks for prayer as he and his team continue to press forward for the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Please pray for our team,” he says. “Please pray as we expose evil and stand up to the system for justice as Christ would have us to do.”
This backstory to yet another well-known, much maligned figure is the love of the Lord Jesus Christ, who lives through those who love Him, serve Him and live out his commandments to be the salt of the earth. People like O’Keefe serve as His hands and feet to a hurting world and a challenge to all believes to count the cost and stand up for the Savior. {eoa}
