With just under 50 days left until one of the most important elections in American history, groups are gearing up to mobilize believers to participate, making the act one of the supreme expressions of personal faith.
Patrick Byrne, CEO of the America Project, says, “It is great to know that believers are praying, but we need them to do more than pray. If they are veterans or former police officers or other first responders, we ask them to embrace OneMoreMission.com , a website making it easy for them to become precinct workers, voting booth watchers and either paid or volunteer staff in the election offices near them.
“We believe that the American people have lost faith in the institution of voting, and the quickest way to restore public faith in these institutions is to have this election year’s surge to be filled as much as possible with people who come from the military and the first responders—two of the most trusted institutions in our society. If those wanting to help are not themselves veterans or prior first responders, they can still help by thinking hard about anyone they know who is in fact one of those and trying to get them involved with OneMoreMission.com.
“Citizens can also donate the maximum amount allowed to organizations working to mobilize citizens to engage with the election process. We expect that, in 2022 (as in 2020), there will be an attempt at massive cheating. We can thwart it as we demonstrated in the November 2021 Virginia election when, due to our work, Virginia’s poll watching went from being 31% complete to 95% complete.”
Byrne and other experts point to Virginia as the first example following the 2020 election—when massive fraud was suspected—where believers were mobilized to join the voting process to monitor the process. As a result, Virginia welcomed a new Governor and Lt. Governor, both of whom, are avid believers of Christ with a strong and enduring faith.
Experts point to the November midterm elections as the only opportunity to stop the rabid anti-Christian movement that has taken hold of both sides of congress and the White House. Right now, only the Supreme Court (thanks to the efforts of former President Donald J. Trump) stands in the way of America’s move toward communism.
Byrne is concerned about many Christian voters and their convictions.
“One thing I have noticed about believers is their lack of courage,” Byrne says. “I am not sure where it comes from, but there is an atmosphere of intimidation and being afraid to speak out and wanting to just let things play out, which would be fatal going forward.”
We forget that, in anger at the evil of his day, Jesus marched into the temple and turned over the tables of the moneychangers and declared the house of God restored.
Lt. General (Ret.) Michael Flynn says, “We are crisscrossing the country doing all we can in these remaining days to mobilize believers to have courage and stand up to protect our country from this takeover. If it is not stopped with an overwhelming turnout and victory in both the House and the Senate, our nation will be forever lost. Now is the time for courage.
“Courage is not a virtue or value among other personal values like love or fidelity. It is the foundation that underlies and gives reality to all other virtues and personal values. Without courage, our love pales into mere dependency. Without courage, our fidelity becomes conformism.”
