In a world fraught with challenges and uncertainties, the need for spiritual strength and protection is paramount. Deliverance is a concept rooted in the Scriptures, and it’s one of the reasons Alexander Pagani’s book, The Secrets to Deliverance, has meant so much to many people since I first published it in 2018.
One of the first things to know about deliverance is that at it’s base is the struggle between good and evil, light and darkness. The Lord’s Prayer even talks about it. Here we ask God to “Deliver us from evil.” When we pray this, we’re asking the Lord to protect us from the principalities and powers in the spiritual realm that are impacting the world’s state of affairs.
Recently Pastor Greg Locke’s documentary Come Out in Jesus Name highlighted these issues better than I’d seen in a long time. The film documented Locke’s journey from being a hardcore cessationist to a deliverance minister after encountering an evil spirit during a service. When he went looking for answers, he found the book The Secrets to Deliverance that opened his eyes to the supernatural realm and the need for mass deliverance services.
God not only wants to provide us with deliverance, but He hears our prayers and uses various ways to get our attention. The Holy Spirit can even take what I say or write and the prayers that I say and use it to minister to you. I believe He can set the captives free through deliverance, healing, prophecy, the gifts of the Spirit and by miracles. My sincere belief is that if you’re going to have a Spirit-led life that you must be free from the grips of darkness.
While I am not a pastor nor a theologian, I’ve seen many people struggle against daunting forces throughout my years as a Christian journalist. I’ve observed that most people either lack awareness of the issue or lack the knowledge and tools to confront these evil spirits. Rabbi Jonathan Cahn does an excellent job of explaining the different spiritual entities plaguing our world today in his book, The Return of the Gods. If you haven’t read it yet, I encourage you to do so before he releases his upcoming book next month called The Josiah Manifesto.
Deliverance is not a mere intellectual concept; it is a tangible process that involves faith, repentance and spiritual authority. One key resource for seeking deliverance is the book Fire Prayers by John Ramirez, a former satanic priest turned evangelist. The book offers declarations and prayers to empower you to strengthen your spiritual position and discernment. It’s these kinds of prayers of renunciation, repentance and declarations of freedom that play a vital role in the deliverance process.
As we navigate an ever-changing world, the calls for deliverance continue to increase. Recognizing the reality of evil forces, embracing the authority given by the Holy Spirit and seeking guidance from experienced mentors are crucial steps toward breaking free from spiritual strongholds. With faith, determination and the power of the Holy Spirit, it is possible to emerge victorious through all of your spiritual battles. {eoa}
