With the year progressing and summer approaching, I’ve sensed an urgent stirring in my spirit—and I know I’m not alone. Prophetic voices across the body of Christ are sounding the alarm. From economic instability and global conflict to increasing deception and spiritual confusion, the warnings are sobering. Many prophetic leaders have pointed to this summer as a turning point. The question isn’t whether shaking will come. It’s whether we’ll be prepared.

Just look at the anxiety caused by daily coverage of wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, U.S. election tensions and social unrest. It’s no accident—this is spiritual strategy from the enemy.

That’s why I start every day declaring truth over my mind: “I am strong in the Lord and healed by Jesus’ stripes” (Eph. 6:10; Isa. 53:5). Your emotional health is not a side issue—it’s spiritual warfare. If we don’t rule our emotions, the enemy will.

This summer will test our inner peace. We’re already hearing reports of inflation spikes, cyberattack threats and unrest in cities like Portland and Chicago. Earlier this year, a major U.S. financial institution issued a warning of economic contraction, while the World Economic Forum raised concerns about growing instability in global supply chains. These are more than headlines—they’re spiritual flashpoints.

Emotional stability in this season isn’t about personality—it’s about discipline. It means asking the Holy Spirit to guide your reactions instead of letting fear, media, or popular opinion do the talking. This is the moment to anchor yourself in truth, pray without ceasing and cultivate a Spirit-led perspective. Don’t wait for a breakdown to start building your foundation.
Armored Up and Spirit-Led
I often say: The sword of the Spirit isn’t for decoration—it’s for battle. God didn’t leave us defenseless. He gave us armor: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and the Word. But that armor only works if you put it on daily.
Just weeks ago, prophetic leaders such as Pastor Greg Locke, Rick Renner and Amanda Grace have released pointed warnings about the spiritual challenges coming this summer. Pastor Locke emphasized the rise of false doctrines and spiritual lethargy within the Church, urging believers to return to fervent prayer and truth. Rick Renner described 2025 as a ‘storm year,’ calling on the body of Christ to be spiritually equipped for what lies ahead. Amanda Grace prophesied a divine shaking in leadership and exposure within both the Church and government, symbolized by a spiritual ‘plumb line’ of judgment.
These aren’t doomsday declarations; they are prophetic wake-up calls—clear invitations to pursue deeper intimacy with the Lord, root ourselves in biblical truth and take our spiritual authority seriously. Suit up, believer. You’re needed on the frontlines.
Why Now Matters
– Economic Shifts: Financial volatility is real, with inflation affecting housing, groceries and fuel. JP Morgan and other banks recently adjusted forecasts, predicting uncertainty in U.S. markets. But Jehovah Jireh is still our Provider. Speak faith over your household. Cancel fear with your declarations.
– Cultural Warfare: Legislation debates around parental rights, gender education and religious freedoms are testing the convictions of many. Guard your mind. Take every thought captive and align it with the truth of Christ (2 Cor. 10:5).
– Mid-year Warnings: Prophetic voices such as those featured on Elijah List and MyCharisma.com have pointed to June and July 2025 as spiritually significant. This is a season to press into God like never before. Don’t react in fear—respond in faith.
A Prophetic Response
Let me be clear: The enemy doesn’t just want to steal your peace—he wants to rule your emotions. But he doesn’t get the final say. You have authority in Christ. You have the armor. You have access to the Holy Spirit, who leads you into all truth.
