With August just a few weeks away, prophetic voice Alwyn Uys is sharing a new message he received for next month. Opening with a heartfelt prayer, Uys declares, “Lord, I pray that they may look back and realize that Your hand was upon them all this time. Father, that You have kept them. You have protected them.”
For more than two weeks, Uys was surrounded by constant rain and gloom. “It has been pouring down where I’m at right now. And it’s almost like there just hasn’t been a break from the bad weather.” But amidst the bleak skies, something unexpected happened. “Every so often, there was a break in the weather. There was a break in the dark cloud… the sun would burst through… and you would see this rainbow.”

It was in that brief moment of light that the Lord began to speak to him. “No matter how dark and ominous and you know how depressing a situation might be… ever so often there is a break of light where the sun is shining through, where a glimmer of hope is showing itself.” Uys continues, “This breakthrough, this break in the sun, this cloud opening up—that He will do it for you as well.”

Recalling a painful season from the past, Uys shares, “One in particular happened 11 years ago when I had my car accident… one of the worst times in my life. And I never want to relive that ever again.” During that dark period, a word his sister left a lasting impression: “Nothing is forever. Everything comes to an end at some point or another. The tide must change.”
Uys continues, “The state of mind that I was in at that moment, guys, I didn’t want to live anymore. I thought it would be better if I just not be here. If I just take my life and end it right now.” But making it through this season, Uys has a powerful testimony that is clear: “Coming to where I am right now and [having] gone through those seasons—that is true. Nothing lasts forever.”
In prayer, Uys heard the Holy Spirit say, “You will see my light break through the darkness that has been hanging like a cloud over your head. You will see my light.” He believes this word is for right now: “This is something for the month of August… that you will see things shift, that you will see things change in your situation.”
The verse he stands on is Malachi 4:2: “But to you who fear my name, the son of righteousness shall arise with healing in his wings.” He adds, “There are so many people probably like myself that have been trusting the Lord for so long for your healing… there just hasn’t been any breakthrough. You don’t see a way out.”
However, the Word of God does not change, and it never fails. “God sees your situation. God sees your need for healing… your need for provision… your need for a change.” And the message for August is simple yet powerful: “Nothing lasts forever.”

As August unfolds, this word serves as a divine reminder that no season of darkness lasts forever. Even when the storm feels relentless and breakthrough seems distant, God is working behind the scenes.
He sees every tear, every prayer and every step of endurance. This is not the end—it’s the turning point. Hold fast, because the light is about to break through.
