I, Marilyn, believe that reading the Bible, speaking the Bible, and doing the Bible go together and all three are very important. She wrote Read It, Speak It, Do It to help others take the promises of God off the page and into their daily life.
God desires the Word to be the center of your life. In John 8:31-32, Jesus said to the people who believed in Him, “You are truly My disciples if you remain faithful to My teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Remaining in the Word is something that should be done consistently. Marilyn urges believers to, “get hooked on the book!” Reading the Bible should be primary in your day because God speaks to you out of the Word.
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible continually speaks about the law of sowing and reaping. God’s Word is seed and if you don’t get into God’s Word, speak it and do it, you will never have a harvest. Believers need to speak the Word into their circumstances by speaking the promises found in the Bible. Do you have a mountain in your way? Then speak God’s promises to that mountain, and get to the other side of it.
The Bible was written for you, and you have to put it into faith. The Bible can lead you into repentance and to some very special things that can help you to be successful. If you’re consistent in your Bible reading, you’ll be shocked at how personal it becomes.
If you’re praying the Bible, the Word will not return void. Praying the promise is the key. Speak the promise to the problem. The Word has power to move and change your circumstances and make your season miraculous.
God has promises for you. There are thousands of promises in the Bible to claim and appropriate by faith. It’s a process—a supernatural process—but it works.
