16 Days Before Easter: ‘Have Mercy on Me!’

Reach out and help someone in need today.

When traveling through Jericho on His way to Jerusalem, Jesus certainly had a lot on His mind—namely the fact He was on His way to His crucifixion.

Yet, Jesus did not refuse the cry of help from a blind beggar, Bartimaeus, who implored Jesus to heal him, to restore his sight. “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me,” Bartimaeus cried.

Although He was on His way to death, Jesus healed Bartimaeus. Can we be like Jesus?

“Today, open your ears to the calls for help that are all around you,” Christian author and Pastor Jamie Buckingham says in this video devotional. “Pause, reach out today and touch someone in need, regardless of how tough your situation is.”
