The principality of bitterness will poison your entire life. It is one of the most unhealthy emotions a person can deal with. It can and will affect our physical health and cause many illnesses. Bitterness is a root of disease.
God has given us a weapon to destroy unforgiveness, and that weapon is forgiveness. We look at forgiveness as something God forces us to do rather than a tool He gives us, so we can walk in victory over the attacks and offenses the enemy throws our way to hold us in bondage and block our pathway to success in life.
When we want to be free of the pain of betrayal, abuse or violence of any sort we will never arrive at that place of freedom without forgiveness.
