Before going live for Adventures in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit was moving in power as David Edwards and I were doing our remote sound and video checks. I knew from what was taking place before our conversation was broadcasting that the whole interview would be anointed in power.
David Edwards is a spiritual son to Leif Hetland, and he and his wife, Allessia, have started the School of Revivalists in Destin, Florida. This school identifies, activates, equips and sends sons and daughters, mothers and fathers as supernatural influencers to minister in all spheres of society.
As we interviewed David, he told us how he came to Jesus and was powerfully filled with the Holy Spirit. We started talking about his new book, Mystify: Encountering God in the Elements. He said after hearing how the wind of God moved in a crusade in Africa, “I saw that creation itself responds to the presence of God.”
He said, “The earth itself responds to the dynamic move of the Spirit … God led me in showing how He moves in the elements, first through the subtle, but then through the substantial.”
David said while he and his wife were sharing at a church what God was doing in their personal lives through the elements, the same things started happening in the church. He said, “You saw all creation responding when the sons and daughters were rising in their identity in the place.”
It was a powerful conversation. My podcast, Adventures in the Spirit with Jared Laskey is not just about information, but impartation and activation. So I ask all my guests to lead us either in prayer or activation. And David led us in an activation that many people from around the world started testifying to feeling the wind of God wrapping around them, or feeling a fiery love and electricity in their hands.
When I prayed with my kids that night before bedtime and led them in the activation, they testified to feeling the wind of God go from their feet, up their bodies and around their heads, and then the love of the Spirit started surging in them.
